Frequently Asked Questions

There are so many different sources of information out there! Questions left unanswered, answers without questions. Today, we'll try to answer the most commonly asked questions about latex mattresses!

Are latex mattresses any good?

Definitely! They're very high-quality mattresses, offering great orthopedic support, demonstrate good breathability, and are insanely comfortable!

What are the benefits of a latex mattress?

Other than being very comfortable, there are many benefits to a latex mattress! Being anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and eco-friendly! They're completely recyclable and decomposable, but until you decide to get rid of them, they're very durable! They last longer on average than other mattresses. Where other mattresses last 8-10 years, these last 15 to 20!

Why do latex mattresses smell?

Unlike other mattresses that smell, latex mattresses do not off-gas! Instead, this is a natural scent, which many compare to the scent of vanilla, rather than the bad smells that sometimes come from mattresses! They smell because they're made from natural sap, comparable to maple syrup, but far more comfortable!

What is the difference between memory foam and latex mattresses?

While memory foam and latex are both very supportive, there are many differences! Latex sleeps cold, while memory foam tends to hang onto heat, making for a sweaty and far warmer sleep than might be preferred.

Memory foam also off-gases, because it is made of chemicals. These volatile compounds can cause lots of harm to the body, and, in extreme cases, they can even cause cancer. Latex does not off-gas at all!

Why is a latex mattress so expensive?

They're all-natural mattresses! Rather than cutting down trees to harvest the sap, we simply tap the trees, letting the sap drain and letting each tree live to its fullest lifespan! It can take a while to properly make the mattress while maintaining our very high standards, see our certification page to see all of our certifications. When taking all of this in mind, it's actually easy to see that instead of being overpriced, our prices are extremely fair for all the time and effort that's gone into it! Thankfully, instead of having to replace your mattress every 5 years, you can only spend this much every 15 to 20 years! If you think of it as a long-term investment, you're saving money while investing in your health!

Hopefully, I was able to answer some questions!
