Responsible Consumption

Updated: Jul 25, 2021

It's hard not to notice how the world has been changing around us.

As documents come out, about exploitation and people being harmed to make products, it can be difficult to find companies that both treat their employees well, and also is honest about the quality of their products.

In a world that advocates being aware and responsible consumers, people are left scrambling for how to exactly do that.

Our latex mattresses are made responsibly and ethically, both with our materials and the labor we use.

Latex is a very renewable resource. Made by tapping trees, rather than cutting them down to harvest them, the trees can live to their 25-year lifespan, before being c

ut down and used for separate things. Thankfully, on the plantation, they have a planting cycle, ensuring that whenever a tree is cut down, another one is planted in its place, never changing the environment more than needed.

Wool is also a very renewable resource. Shearing does not harm a sheep, and, not shearing a sheep can even harm it. With issues such as overheating, and being weighed down by the weight of their wool, shearing is beneficial for both the farmer and the sheep.

Certified to have fair rubber trade, all of our rubber is sourced ethically, and our producers are paid fair wages, and we have achieved sustainable and equitable trade relationships. We seek to promote greater equity in international trading partnerships through dialogue, transparency, and respect. By offering and securing the rights of marginalized producers and workers in developing countries, we can ensure that none of our products are made with exploitation or unpaid labor.

It is one of our highest priorities that every step of our process is made with the highest quality of product and made ethically, so you can trust our beds to both give you the best sleep and support, and have a positive effect on the world around us, both environmentally and socially.
